Beatrice Patterson

Beatrice P. Perry was born on April 30, 1925 to the parentage of Ira and Ray Mask in Sherman, Texas. She was called to Christ at an early age and later after relocating to Dallas, Texas joined Greater Bethlehem Baptist Church and was a member for over 60 years. She was also a member of the Women's Day ministry. She graduated from Fred Douglas High School where she was a member of the debate team which frequently participated in the Texas Interscholastic League competition held annually at Prairie View A & M University. Briefly, she attended Austin College in Sherman, Texas. "Ms. Bea" had a flair for dressing and interior decorating.
She was the Matriarch of a large extended family and leaves behind to cherish her memory: her husband of 40 years Jesse Perry; 3 sisters Beneta Smith, Faye Scruggs and Opal Thompkins; brother, Donald Mask (Shirley); children, Billy Williams (Patricia), Carloyn Smith, George Patterson (Loida) and Sheliah Lane; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
