Adrian Moore

December 7, 1948 — March 31, 2018

Adrian Phillip Moore was born December 7, 1948 to the union of George Van Buren Moore and Leatrice Joy Brown in Dallas, Texas. He was the youngest of three children. Adrian accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Good Street Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. Adrian received his formal education in the Dallas Public School system and was a proud graduate of Booker T. Washington Technical high school class of 1967. After graduation, he enlisted into the United States Air Force where he served as a first class airman stationed in Okinawa, Japan. After an honorable discharge from the Air Force, Adrian pursued a distinguished career as an insurance agent with Union National Life Insurance company. While writing up an account with a client in 1973, he met the love of his life and long-time companion, Joanne Walker. They were united in holy matrimony on August 23, 1974 and to this union two children were born Karona and Kristen Moore. Later, he worked for United Insurance Company of America.  He retired from insurance in 2000. After receiving his CDL license Adrian worked for Dallas County for 16 years, before retiring in May of 2017. Adrian was first ordained as a Deacon in 1988 under the late Reverend L. J. Taylor pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. He remained a faithful member of Macedonia until 2008 and then he felt the call from God to join North Park Missionary Baptist Church. He was instrumental in his role as a Deacon. Adrian departed this life on Saturday, March 31, 2018. He was preceded in death by his mother Leatrice Joy Brown, his brother George Van Buren Moore, Jr. and one nephew Joseph Elton Moore, Jr. He leaves to continue his memory: his wife, Joanne Moore; two daughters Karona L. Spead and son in law Derrick Spead of Sachse, Texas, Kristen Y. Moore of Houston, Texas; one brother Joseph Elton Moore and sister in law Linda Brown of Dallas, Texas; two granddaughters Nyla A. Spead, Kera V. Spead and one grandson Chase J.
